Tolidi - Uzbek Hand Knotted Wool - 250x72 cm

Tolidi rugs are high quality carpets with patterns often copied from Oriental Carpets but slightly modified to suit the European market. The wool used is of a high quality and the colour comes from natural vegetable dyes. When producing the carpets natural plant dyes are used, as well as hand spun wool and they even try to use the same materials and procedures that were used hundreds of years ago. At the end of the carpet production, the carpet is treated with rocks to get an antique look. Afterwards the carpets are exposed to heavy sun bleaching them to reproduce the sought after antique look.
